Podcast 50: Moral Choices in Games vs. Other Media

Media psychologists and other researchers have studied for years how people make judgments about the morality of actions in books, movies, and television. But video games are different, aren’t they? We co-create games along with developers, and things about the game may impact how we feel about the morality of choices or decisions. And beyond that, people may be making such decisions for reasons other than morality. Sometimes you may just want to get an achievement, experience a story beat, or unlock a cool gun.

These are the kinds of issues that I will be discussing with my guests this episode.
